Professionals, families, and individuals with intellectual disabilities came together on November 7th and 8th, 2024 to share experiences, knowledge, and tools that promote a quality life for people with disabilities.

The initiative aimed to raise awareness about the importance of universal accessibility and promote equal opportunities within the framework of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

Today, December 3rd, is the International Day of Persons with Disabilities: a reminder to celebrate the strength, resilience, and achievements of individuals with disabilities. It's a day to raise awareness, promote inclusion, and advocate for equal opportunities for all.

This two-day event held in Kigali (28th - 29th November 2024), aimed at bringing together stakeholders from various sectors to collaborate on creating solutions that enhance educational access, quality & inclusivity for learners with disabilities.

This pioneering project is led by professors Antonio Carrasco Rodríguez and Esther Heredia Oliva, who aim to improve social and educational inclusion for people with ASD.

Yesterday, Thursday, November 21st, the members of ANSWER met online for our Management Meeting, where we discussed about the status of the project, the latest updates, pending tasks, and upcoming activities.

The East African University Rwanda’s Students Support Centre delivered also a pilot training programme entitled “Disability and promotion of inclusion in higher learning institutions in Rwanda”. It took place on 10-11 October 2024 in Nyagatare.
